Privacy Policy – Kairos

Kairos (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the Kairos mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

A) Information you provide

When you use Kairos, you may provide:

  • Name (optional, used for personalization)

  • Email and password (if you create an account)

  • Journal entries and reflections

  • Mood check-ins and emotional tags

  • Self-improvement goals and focus topics

B) Automatically collected information

We may collect:

  • Device information (model, OS version)

  • App usage data (screens viewed, actions taken)

  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics

  • Advertising identifiers (for showing ads)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide the app’s features (journal, check-ins, sessions, analytics)

  • Personalize your experience

  • Generate AI reflections and supportive suggestions

  • Improve app stability and performance

  • Display ads (Free version)

  • Manage subscriptions (Pro version)

3. AI Features & Processing

Kairos uses AI to generate reflections, session responses, and supportive guidance.

  • Your text (journal entries, check-ins, session messages) may be sent securely to AI services to generate responses.

  • We do not sell your journal data.

  • We do not use your private entries for advertising targeting.

4. Ads (AdMob)

The free version of Kairos may display ads using Google AdMob.

AdMob may collect:

  • Advertising ID

  • Device data

  • Approximate location (depending on your device settings)

  • Usage behavior for ad performance

You can remove ads by upgrading to Kairos Pro.

5. Subscriptions (Google Play + RevenueCat)

Kairos Pro subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status.

We do not store your payment information. Payments are handled securely by Google Play.

6. Data Storage & Security

We take security seriously:

  • Data is stored securely (cloud services such as Firebase)

  • Authentication is protected

  • We use encryption in transit (HTTPS)

However, no method of storage is 100% secure.

7. Sharing of Information

We may share data only with trusted services needed to run the app, such as:

  • Firebase (authentication + database)

  • Google AdMob (ads)

  • RevenueCat (subscriptions)

  • AI service providers (AI reflections and responses)

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Your Choices

You can:

  • Delete journal entries inside the app

  • Disable notifications anytime

  • Disable location permissions

  • Request account deletion (see section 10)

9. Children’s Privacy

Kairos is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and stored data by contacting:

We will delete your data within a reasonable time unless we are legally required to keep it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If changes are significant, we will update the effective date and notify users in-app.
